Jan Brewer Just Trying to 'Score Some Points With Obama-Haters in Arizona'

By daring to stand up for herself in recent exchange with President Obama, the media quickly labeled Arizona Governor Jan Brewer a villain. On Thursday's NBC Nightly News, anchor Brian Williams was aghast: "Who have you ever seen talking to the president like this?....The governor of Arizona with her finger in the face of the President of the United States. You don't see that often or maybe ever."

In the report that followed, White House correspondent Kristen Welker piled on with nasty sound bites attacking Brewer. A clip of left-wing MSNBC host Martin Bashir echoing Williams: "Is that really how we're supposed to behave towards the President of the United States?" Followed by NBC News presidential historian Michael Beschloss proclaiming: "She may feel this will score some points with Obama-haters in Arizona, but nationally, this is unusual enough that I'm not sure it's going to help her."

Sound bites were also included from Brewer herself explaining: "I welcomed him and thanked him for being here....He immediately took umbrage, if you will, with my book that I wrote, "Scorpions for Breakfast," and was somewhat disgruntled..."

Welker countered Brewer with White House statements: "Today the White House described the incident as 'overblown,' but said, 'The president did note that after their last meeting, a cordial discussion in the Oval Office, the Governor inaccurately described the meeting.'"

Concluding her report, Welker added: "President Obama weighed in during an interview with ABC News, saying the whole thing was really not a big deal. He also said, and this is a direct quote, Brian, 'I think it's always good publicity for a Republican if they're in an argument with me.'"

Thursday's CBS Evening News was even worse in its coverage of the incident, as Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer denounced "such public rudeness" by Brewer.

Sounds reasonable.

I’m an Obama hater but I’m in California. Can I join?

It appealed to me.
A lot.

Since he set the DoJ on the State (and on the Sheriff of the largest county - almost 60% of the state population) for a voter passed bill, I think she has a right to be upset...:^)

Heck, I want her to be upset!

The poodle propaganda press is very afraid, and that’s good.

“Make no mistake. A not insignificant percentage of Americans would happily send every Freeper off to a labor camp.”

Let’s not give that much power to a bunch of scrawny, bed-wetting morons in college calling C-Span in the morning.

They are not significant in numbers nor are they capable of hauling anything except a load of empty beer cans to the dumpster. And that won’t get done until the landlord yells at them.

I strongly suspect this to be a setup by the Narcissist in Chief and his handlers to use the press to set false perceptions. Lest we forget, perception is reality. He walks off the plane, smiles and puts his hand on her arm and whispers his bitter, thin skinned sentiments about her book which the handlers predict, her being a fighter, she will not be expecting and react to, even if politely. She does always talk with her hands, and they must have had such fun quietly informing the photographers right where to stand and then just waiting for the pictures to hit the wires. The talking heads then starts their job painting the picture for the majority of mind numbed viewers that Repubs can only fight with the Won. By the end of the week the perception seeps into the public consciousness, and they think themselves brilliant and handout Pulitzer prizes to each other, while Obammy appears the victim. Just the manner in which he walked off from her while she was still talking illustrates the desired deception to make it appear she was the aggressor in their little chat.

They are using game show tactics to sway the voting public. They are going to ‘produce’ the whole election like a reality show complete with zinger soundtracks and, as with a show script, they think they already know who the winners and losers are. Why shouldn’t they think so since 2008 proved it to be so? Obozo is just playing his part in their continuing demented TV game. We all know the plot.

The future of this country NOT a game, and is in serious peril. The slime media must be made irrelevant in politics, somehow. Their lies are seriously hurting this great country, because so many Americans see absolutely no source of any truth in their average day.

Jan did score points with this AZ voter. She’s a fighter for the team. I think she did have some understanding how this might be played and got right out in front of it on FNC with her side of the story. If she hadn’t, this would have likely been far worse.

FUBO!
