The ships in the class are: San Antonio, New Orleans, Mesa Verde, Green Bay, New York, San Diego, Anchorage, Arlington,and Somerset.

The New York, Arlington, and Somerset are named in memory of the 9-11 Attacks and parts of their hulls are made from World Trade Center steel.

Now that is class! We don't need to ruin the reputation of this entire class of ships to honor a dishonorable dead Congressman.

You mean all nine ships are already in service? Seems like just a couple of years ago I was at the commissioning ceremony of the first of the class, the San Antonio at Naval Station Ingleside. George H.W. Bush was there. Either the ship builders have been extremely busy, or that was longer ago than I thought.
