2 years and he suposedly made LTjg and qualified as a SWO???

Either he was a go-getter and something cause him to go-get out after only 2 years, or something is not right here...

And for a ship of this type to be named after such a detractor of the military services in the country...

I think it would smell better if they nameed a trash barge after this “politician”...And I use that term very loosely...

BTW, took me a while myself (bout 3 years, was slow to get things signed off) to get the ESWS (Enlisted Surface Warfare) badge on just one ship type...

Ensign to Lt.JG requires two years in grade.
SWO must qualify within 18 months, and is mandatory for fleet officers in the Surface Warfare community.
