"I have not been critical of Newt Gingrich but it is now time to take a stand before it is too late. If Gingrich is the nominee it will have an adverse impact on Republican candidates running for county, state, and federal offices. Hardly anyone who served with Newt in Congress has endorsed him and that fact speaks for itself. He was a one-man-band who rarely took advice. It was his way or the highway."
Yeah, me too. Sadly, had to do the same with McCain.
Done with the nose holding now.
When Dole was minority leader, they use to call him the collector for the democrat party....he wanted everything they did, just not quite as much....all the losers are against newt...The only one that disappointed me was when John Bolton came out for romney....
I thought Dole had died a long time ago. I didn’t know he was still alive.
I am shocked and disappointed realizing I was wrong.
He did! Didn't you see his debates with Clinton?
“Romney = Dole 2.0 with better hair and kooky underwear”
Ah yes. I was thinking of “Weekend at Bernies.”
It should have been re-titled “Weekend at Dole’s.”
I specifically remember Newt callling Dole, “the tax collector for the welfare state.” Now, you can go ahead and say what you like...but do you really expect Dole to praise Gingrich when he went out of his way to disrespect everyone—from the Senate majority leader to the first lady—and to have them turn around and praise him???
All I’m saying, don’t expect people to praise you when you have gone out of your way to piss them off. Talk about the 11th Commandment, the former speaker is throwing rocks in his own glass house-and dissing the “establishment” and all you guys want them turn around and bow down in front of him? What goes around, comes around. Rule of the story, don’t piss people off on your climb to the top—especially in your own party.
Wrong, we don’t expect them to praise Newt. We just expect them to be honest. Tell us that Newt forced them to not raise taxes when they wanted to and that he hurt their feelings by calling them names. Don’t spin this stuff that Newt is “erratic.”
At least Bush, Sr. was honest when he endorsed Romney, and said he was against Newt because of Newt’s opposition to his raising taxes. You didn’t see much angry sliming of Bush, Sr. as I recall. We accepted it, understood his difference of opinion and moved on.
Ha...you did...you all expected them to drop on their knees and wave palms and give him a donkey to ride into Congress with...
...and a lot of people hated Bush sr...
I have not idea what you are yammering about.
I think you have the wrong person.
