If anybody out there has an “in” with the Santorum campaign, please beg him to leave with dignity and grace after endorsing Newt — before the FL election. That state is too important to have it go Romney’s way. It’s already vulnerable, considering how many have done early voting, most likely for Mitt.

Maybe Santorum’s time will come another year, but 2012 isn’t it. He’s had his fun. He’s done OK, improving each week. But this isn’t a game any longer; he needs to endorse Newt. Egos have their place, but Santorum shouldn’t risk the future of the country to feed his. (I know; they all have egos, or they wouldn’t be doing this, but Rick has no chance now.)

Perry did the right thing, he showed his patriotism. I agree Santorum should - but I think his self righteousness burns more in him than patriotism. Maturity would cure that.
However, he knows what he’s doing - making the way for a mitt nomination.
