By the way, there is no reason to head to the “sticks”. There are many other places to go outside major cities, than having to head to the boonies, where there are no jobs to speak of, or little of anything else. I personally have no desire to move to the middle of nowhere.

That’s true there many an out of the way place that in most towns that look abandoned and yet would make a good place to lay low during shtf.

I think small towns are ideal. I’m about 70 miles west of Detroit and better than 10 miles off the highway. There are other little towns every 4 or 5 miles in every direction.

Any urban barbarians who think they could simply roll out across the country side taking what they want would be in for a big surprise.
