I’d take the local dogcatcher too, because he is probably a conservative. But Romney is not. Take a look at his record as Massachusetts governor and tell me if there is any material difference from Obama’s record as President. Oh wait, there is a material difference: Obama didn’t sign into law a permanent assault weapons ban and didn’t give Planned Parenthood, by name, a permanent seat on the board overseeing Obamacare.

Right on, Thane! And staten, here's another BIG material difference: Obama isn't a Republican. Conservative Republicans can effectively fight Obama's statism and become stronger and more determined. Romney is a REPUBLICAN -- conservatives in the party who would fight his statism would have their hands tied behind their backs and would be condemned for going against their own party's presidential administration.

Romney would do damage to the Republican party that Obama couldn't do in his wildest dreams.
