My best guess is that Romney and the elite Republicans know that if Mitt doesn’t win Florida, it’s all over for him. The reek of failure about him will be too strong and Newt will have all the momentum. They are firing their greatest volley against Newt in one last, desperate attempt to get Mitt a win.

The good thing about this, though, is even if Mitt does win Florida, they have spent probably all of their ammunition. Losing Florida, Newt could hang on and still win the nomination.

I am noticing too, that Newt, despite having the momentum coming out of South Carolina, seems to have that underdog charm about him. People who care want him to beat Mr. Plastic Teeth and Hair. Romney personifies that Joe Popular/Big Man on Campus that everyone hates.

Yep FL is the line in the sand for Mittens. If he loses it he will lose the nomination.

Tomorrow will only be worse than today and the day after even worse.

We need Newt Presidential tonight and hitting them out of the park.
