Me too. For some time I referred to myself as a “small-l libertarian”, but the distinction is lost on most people.

Rush just finished his monologue and his trashing of the Gingrich candidacy continues. Limbaugh just pronounced himself “shocked” the Speaker Gingrich ever questioned anything Saint Reagan ever said or did. Limbaugh pronounces the writer of the National Review Gingrich hitpiece, Elliot Abrams, to have impeccable conservative credentials. Limbaugh then ridicules the Gingrich proposal to revive the space program, and calls it “grandiose”. All of this stuff is said in a way that Limbaugh can say - hey, I’m America’s Anchorman - just reporting the news!
Agreed...will not support Gay-Marriage-Supporter-Mitt. Why is FR promoting an Alliance with the GOProud-Sodomy-Supporter-Ann-Coulter???
Each of us gets a say in 4 people to send to Washington - President, 2 Senators and a Representative. I am so sickened by this race for one of the four that I have to keep telling myself to focus on what I can do to impact the other 3. I am backing a challenger to my Representative and have picked the best of the crowd (Ted Cruz) to support for the new senator from Texas.

I grew up Democrat but switched parties to Republican when Clinton was nominated to be president. Since then I thought of myself as a libertarian of sorts, that is, until I read what they stand for. After that I knew I could not be a libertarian. They are too left of Democrats. I’m too conservative to be one. From their own web site they are for abortion on demand, gay marriage, open borders, legalization of drugs, prostitution, gambling, and a bunch of other items I don’t agree with. I do like their idea of smaller government and their position on guns, but that’s about all I agree with.
Now Limbaugh is jumping around, starts by associating Speaker Gingrich with the word “weird”. Changes subject briefly, then goes over to claiming the three critics “devastating” to Gingrich - Elliot Abrams, R. Emmett Tyrell, and even Charles Krauthammer(!), all have impeccable conservative credentials!
I can’t listen to the guy anymore. I need to go throw up.

Sorry...no matter how much a piece of crap Romney is I can’t turn my back on my country....we can deal with Romney later, we need to stop the bleeding NOW.
After Romney wins, watch Santorum drop out and gladly accept a job from Romney. Like several of us who know all about the true nature of Santorum, have been trying to get through the Samtorm fanatic's thick skulls, he is only in this to disrupt Newt.
I don't think she supports Newt. She is another establishment conservative. She knows which side her bread is buttered on. TV appearances etc. Saw her this morning, not exactly promoting Newt.

I should be clear about what I mean by “libertarian”. I don’t mean I am part of the libertarian party. Rather, I’m all for personal liberty. I really could be called more a strict constitutionalist.
And I do agree with them on one thing: Though I have not touched any illegal drugs since 1977, and then only marijuana, I believe marijuana should be legalized in the same vein as alcohol, i.e. with an age restriction.
