My father was a career Marine; I was taught to be respectful of others; especially to my elders and always to address them as “Ma'am” or “Sir.” ‘Paid off in the long run!
(I was driving a 1960 Corvair (not the Monza w/the 4-speed ...the base model w/the automatic trans ...hated that car ...managed to wangle an MGA 2 years later; most fun to drive car I've owned!)
