A smuggling tunnel from Gaza to Sinai collapsed under the border city of Rafiah at the southern end of the Hamas-run enclave, killing one.
Medical sources in Gaza told the Palestinian Authority affiliated Maan News Agency that that Faraj Abu Mustapha, 28, was working in the tunnel at the time of the collapse.
The sources say Abu Mustapha was involved in smuggling cement into Gaza, but their claim was not confirmed.
The tunnels are a key supply line for Hamas and its terror confederates who have smuggled tens of thousands of rockets, as well as firearms, ammunition, and explosives into Gaza via the tunnels.
They have also served as a means of moving terrorists planning on staging attacks in the Sinai and southern Israel to and from the coastal enclave.
Egypt opened the Rafiah crossing in May 2011, the only border terminal not controlled by Israel, but it is frequently closed and remains tightly controlled.

Pity it was only one...
I’m going to hand out candy,, sing “uluululululuululu” and fire my AK into the skies.
Just granting permanently a wish of a Gazan who enjoys being six feet under.
Don’t forget the fireworks.
And then have your wife show up the next day in a cab and ask a paramedic to deliver a baby already crowning with its umbilical cord wrapped around its neck. Ghazans are great at fixing stuff like that, of course./sarc
Does the PA charge so many duties that cement is now worth more than heroin, rocket parts and explosives?
I think under the terms of the UN resolution, cement is contraband, since it is invariably used to build bunkers. I suppose approved projects get built under UN supervision, just not bomb proof bunkers.
I think Willian Shirier wrote than in the 3rd Reich about 5% of all concrete was used to build “Fuhrer” bunkers throughout the country. It wasn’t just Berlin.
And we are supposed to.....cry?
So let me get this straight. They’re smuggling cement so that they can continue to hide the Fuhrer?
Forgot about that. I think I may have told you when my daughter was an uberliberal wannabe at an Ivy league school she went ballistic with the Palis( in [Palistink] adopted name only) and used to smuggle goods to them until one day their merry band in a van was targeted by the "flying garbage cans." How to you say Flying Garbage cans," in Hebrew? They were speaking of the Qassams. Anyway it blew but was more a dud and hit pretty close to their van of merry not too smart "peaceniks." She and two others were so pissed off they joined the IDF the next day and now she has dual citizenship and married to some dude named Sayeret Maktal just for fun/sarc but true.
You never know...
Hapachim hatasim.
Todah, I’m going to memorize that one. When I was outside Sderot watching the rockets coming in ( sad, real sad) the locals called them flying garbage cans and now I know what they were saying in Hebrew,”Hapachim hataism,” probably with some nice curse words in there also.
