I do recall President Bush and Senator Santorum backing Spector over Toomey ... made me sick.

Rick Santorum most certainly did not endorse or support Scozzafava. I was implying that before attacking Santorum’s conservative bona fides because of his stupid endorsement of Specter, one should remember that Newt made an even dumber endorsement even more recently (the “Oh, wait” at the end was my subtle proxy for a “sarcasm” tag).
