Outlier or ARG has caught a trend early. Too soon to tell which it is.

This poll seems like an aberration.

Most of The Polls I saw showed Romney leading Gingrich in South Carolina as late as last Saturday morning...

Republican presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich speaks during a campaign event billed as a Latin American Policy Speech at Florida International University on January 25, 2012 in Miami, Florida.

I think the difference is between voters and likely voters, where Newt holds the lead.

Good. Newt is surging. Just like S.C.

Ras had newt up by nine yesterday, and other polls had newt in the lead, and there is no reason why mitt would be surging, this polls seems very fishy.

What is up with Drudge? Did it get hijacked by the Romney team.

Man. Talk about one sided.

Its one of those slow on the uptick polls that while showing trending Newts way, will likely show a big swing if they do another.

From the looks of the article, they dont poll very frequently. The only other one was in early Jan. So likely they did this starting before SC.

Gingrich leads with 47% among likely Republican primary voters saying they are supporters of the Tea Party, followed by Romney with 34% and Santorum with 8%. Among likely primary voters saying they are not supporters of the Tea Party or are undecided about the Tea Party, Romney leads with 47%, followed by Gingrich with 22%, Santorum with 10%, and Paul with 9%.

I don't see where ARG shows us the actual weighted, breakdown numbers in this poll.

Romney has been bombarding Florida with negative media for weeks. He is being blasted from all quarters, HARD.

Newt is just now hitting the air.

Never underestimate the power of the media.

Unlike other polls, half of the survey was conducted yesterday, after Monday night’s debate. It’s 600 Republican-registered likely voters. I can’t see a reason to discount it.

I am not a Romney supporter.

However, I don’t like the anti-capitalist tack Newt is taking against Romney.

I heard a snip on Rush this morning. Newt was on tape saying something to the effect that most of us don’t live off of our investments in the Cayman islands, we have to work, etc.

I thought that was really a commie slant and it gives me pause about supporting Newt.

I am no fan of Romney but I have no problem with him investing, profiting, and using the Caymans or any other legal means to keep as much of his money as possible. More power to him for that.

If true it will prove that Romney Money Can Buy Happiness. But I’m going to wait and see what Rasmussen has to say before I panic.

Without the internals to the poll it is hard to say what this means. Is this a survey of all voters? What is the time frame of this poll? Is it over a week?

Newt’s attack on capitalism and his ties to Freddie Mac is not going to be received well by Florida voters.
