Your id is comebacknewt, you signed on in 2000, and you’re not sure you trust him? I bet there’s an interesting story there! :)

To those who don’t trust Newt I ask, why would he betray conservatism if he wins the White House? What’s in it for him? Was he looking for approval and warmth when in Congress, or did he step on toes to advance conservatism? As a historian, does he want to be remembered in history as a man who caved or as a man who did what he was elected to do?

Newt at one time was my hero. I loved absolutely everything about him. Lets just say my views on Newt have "evolved" a bit over the years. ;)

This is a pro Newt thread though, and I don't want to say anything to take away from it, so I will drop it at that.
