What all this tells me is that the left wants to run against Romney but not Newt!

This really lays it out for Newt, against Romney - good read:

The Three Reasons Newt is More Electable Than Mitt

Rush attacking the “filthy rich”. Is that an attack on capitalism?

No.

And neither was Newt’s questioning of Romney’s Bain involvement.

His three are more of a stretch than mine.

1.Obamcare vs. Mittcare--We lose the argument for killing obamcare if Mittt is the nominee. So they get away with taking over 1/6 of the economy.

2.NBC--Just like obama Mitt's father was not born in the U.S. He was born in Mexico. We will have that argument to live through all over again.

3.Bain Capital--When Romeny was there they practiced a lot of predatory capitalism, IMHO.

Bain bought companies, looted the assets, took the cash, and paid it to investors as dividends to ensure a healthy return for investors that's great except when you destroy a company in the process.

After doing all that Bain watched as the company goes bankrupt over the next few years unable to pay the debt load.

Then there are other little goodies like money in the caymans, investing in Fannie Mae, and Mitts role in the Mormon hierarchy not that that should be a huge problem just to list a few more.

IMHO,The left is once again trying to pick our candidate as the did with McCain.

Wow, MissMag -- that was GREAT! Thanks for the link. I read both the pro-Romney and the pro-Gingrich pieces. The pro-Romney one was ... well, weak is an understatement. It seemed pretty much based entirely on "poll numbers say Romney should win." But the pro-Gingrich one was all red meat, solid and strong. Again, thanks for the link.

Fellow FReepers, I highly recommend reading both pro Newt and pro Romney at the link in Miss Magnolia's post on this thread.
