In the old days of Catholicism, there were church bells ringing at the different times of the day, calling people to pray, such as the Angelus, at noon.

Too bad the Catholic Church in Hollywood never touched his life in that daily, timeless way.

I live in a densely populated area in Cleveland. When my parents first moved to C-Town fifty years ago the real estate agent called the area a “Catholic ghetto”. They could never say that today. Still, we can hear church bells from the five Catholic churches within a mile of my house several times a day.

And in the evening. Wonder what happened with that, does it still happen? I now live in the country and don’t know if the bells still ring.
