In 1974, I was just turning 21, and living in Berkeley just south of campus.
I clearly remember the night Nixon resigned, and the sporadic street celebrations immediately after. For all of his faults, he still had enough humility and clarity to decided that the nation would be better off without him as POTUS.
I’d LOVE to see history repeat itself... but I’m not holding my breath.
