Did Newt just say the American people didn’t want to go to war against Japan after Pearl Harbor was bombed? BIG gaffe.
Ron Paul standing up for Castro. Big shock. sarc/
We couldn’t have been more wrong if we thought Newt releasing documents would shut Romney up about Freddie-Mac. Never going to happen.
So far Newt’s been mostly on the defensive. I don’t think he’s winning this debate.
No, he did not. Newt was saying that American has never wanted to go to war but has only done so when it was necessary to protect our national interest.
I actually agree a little with Ron Paul ... not much, but a little.
I don’t believe in wasting money and manpower in the middle east.
I dont’ care who they elect. They are a primitive, cruel people we can never trust.
We should get out and concentrate on intelligence and if a nuclear weapon is found, we should bomb it after fair warning to the population to get out.
That's really what you heard? Geez, we must be listening to two different debates. I thought Gingrich's point was very clear: historically, the American people have no interest in going to war, as in, we *don't want to* have to go to war. We'd prefer not to.
That was definitely an incorrect statement concerning WWII. Long lines of volunteers formed at recruiting stations after Pearl Harbor. He chose to latch onto isolationism rather than the American response once attacked.
