Is that true, Newt was said to have threatened to out Brit Humes son as gay, and he committed suicide???? I think that must be a stretch by yards. Flabbergasted that such a thing is said actually. No coroboration, no source anywhere? Come on.
Sandy Hume killed himself after he was arrested for drunk driving. The rest is gossip mongering of the meanest kind.
Which is why I started my post with according to rumor. The link to the thread was posted up above on this one as well.
apparently it is an old inside the beltway rumor, I don’t believe that Newt would actually do that, however that doesn’t mean that Brit doesn’t believe the rumor or know more about what was going on.
Parents of children who commit suicide often look to outsiders to blame and that rumor, true or not, could be why Brit hates Newt so badly.
I don’t know ANYTHING about the truth of the rumor, just that it’s been mentioned on another thread; I was actually trying to tone it down.
I was flabbergasted when I read it, too.
