The White House is standing by the Transportation Security Administration in its standoff with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and his father, Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas)
The elder Paul called the TSA a "police state" Monday after Sen. Paul was reportedly detained by TSA after he refused to take a pat-down from TSA officials at the Nashville International Airport.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Monday that he didn't have any reaction to Paul's comment about "police state."

Just Dear Reader practicing the entire detention of Congress... And the detention of all citizens deemed to be either conservative or republican, own guns, go to church, desire American sovereignty, pro-life, didn't contribute to democrat coffers, or failed to vote for Obama.

Newt in particular has a GOLDEN opportunity here. He could speak up on Sen. Paul’s behalf on how the TSA is out of hand. Even proposing what Senator Paul’s own father has, which is to turn over most or all of the TSA’s functions to the airlines themselves...is a winner.
He could endear himself to some Paul supporters by coming out in support of his son, and score a big one for liberty at the same time.

Section. 6.
The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.
Wonder if they're using Breach of the Peace or if the constitution as a whole is irrelevant to the WH.

Like when they tried to Confiscate the Congressional Medal of Honor from Joe Foss, because an 86 year old WWII Fighter Ace might use it as a weapon.

They view Our Entire Constitution as a Breach of THEIR Piece.

Wonder if the White House would have done the same thing had the Congressman’s name been James Clyburn?

“TSA = Gestapo.
Of course the White House backs its own personal blueshirts.
Resist. Rebel. Tear down the police state that has been forced upon us. Its time for the slaves to throw off their chains and hold the masters accountable.”
After the military cuts, it’ll be a civilian army just as big as the military.

Obama has the uncanny, almost instinctual ability to come down on the wrong side of every single issue he sees.

Agree about the thug agency DHS.
They are to the ports, airports, and border points in 2012 what Vito Genovese was to the ports of NYC in 1953.

Not only that, he's not Muslim. If he were, the White Hut would have immediately issued a statement of condemnation against the TSA, issued an apology to all Muslims around the world and announced that Janet Napolitano will hold a press conference detailing new immediate changes to the TSA screening procedures.

To be sure, it was a great film, but the lefty bias is pretty obvious.

To be sure, it was a great film, but the lefty bias is pretty obvious. No doubt about it, the scenario is a great topic for discussion though.
The acting is of course second to none... but Frederick March and Burt Lancaster in the WH going back and forth was classic dialogue, thought provoking, they just do not write scripts like that anymore.
I loved the movie Dr. Strangelove too, even though it had the obvious leftist tilt also, but what a movie!
At least those movies had some quality to them, can't say the same for the crap that is churned out today.
