I think that this latest bit with Coulter crystallized a thought with me. Call it a an Epiphany if you will.

We here in the Base or fly-over country if you will have rock-solid principles and we don’t bend much on them. We can approve or even admire a person that steps into the lime-light and speaks to those values. With that being said we are also able to ditch them when it becomes obvious that they have become corrupted or even sold-out to the other side.

Their problem is that they don’t recognize that we do so. With them it’s called expediency, with us it’s called principles.

I agree. I feel the same way now of Peggy Noonan after she trashed Sarah Palin. SHe may still write a column or two that are good, but it’s not the same.

She and Coulter come across as shrill, petty and pompous.
