Yeah, it’s that important. Any remarks you have to offer will be valuable.

“Do you want Obama to name their replacements?”

That couples with Obama’s second term would be the end of our country as we know it. I shudder to think of it. GO NEWT GO!

My money would be on Ginsberg and Kennedy stepping down.

I believe that Rick Santorum would make an excellent Supreme Court Justice. It fits him much better than President.

Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy will live forever and remain on the bench just to spite them....

That diss at the State of the Union a while back makes sure they will stay on.

And that is exactly why it is important that Gingrich win the nomination as he would undoubtably beat Obama in November and appoint true conservatives to the SCOTUS who will overturn Roe v. Wade and make abortion a crime, just like the murder of a child we can then prosecute abortionists and women who have abortion with Capital Murder.

When is the point in time, after which we are out of the danger zone of another appointment prior to 1/2013?

There is some minimum time needed to make a new appointment... making a selection, submission to the Senate, potential filibuster time, etc.

Just wondering what is the time frame to be free and clear of any changes by zer().

Correct, to replace the ones he’s subpoenaed! Because once Newt subpoenas them, they’ll be testifying till Kingdom come and won’t have time to hand down liberal rulings... j/k

Oh, man, I want to see a Newt Gingrich presidency in the worst way!

Do you want Obama to name their replacements?

Let's see...Obama will name flaming liberals to the Supreme Court...Romney named flaming liberals to judgeships when he was Governor...

We do not need a mittwitt in the office making friends with liberals by giving us a “moderate” judge. WE NEED NEWT GINGRICH!

I have a different reason for seeing Roe v. Wade overturned:

I believe that it would result in a spiritual revival similar to the Great Awakening that occured after slavery was abolished.

“Whoever is elected President in 2012 will appoint Supreme Court justices.”

And yet another critical reason to nominate someone who is electable, who will bring out the base, and who will take the fight to the enemy (i.e., Obama and media). Newt.

Do you want Obama to name their replacements?

Well then, I guess, you, me, and the rest of us conservatives better get busy and make sure neither Obama or Myth are elected, otherwise, you're going to end up with Supreme Court justices you don't like.

Kennedy and Ginsburg are both 75 and Breyer is 73, if all three of them were to retire it would change the face of the Court in our favor for generations.

Scalia is also 75 and may decide to retire if a conservative is president, but I don't think he would under Obama.

If Newt is the nominee and loses, it doesn’t matter. We must elect Newt. We need a conservative voice. We must adhere to our conservative convictions- even if it means Obama is re-elected. It doesn’t matter about Supreme Court Justices. It doesn’t matter how many unborn children die. We must stick with Newt!

SCOTUS appointments should be a major campaign theme. There are a number of cases currently working through the system to expand the scope of the Heller/McDonald Second Amendment (2A) decisions. So far, the lower courts keep ruling that Heller (and hence the 2A) only applies to handguns in the home.

If we lose one of the “Heller 5”, the 2A will likely be relegated to a very narrow right to “keep” a handgun in the home only. It’s already going to be difficult to get Kennedy to agree that the 2A applies outside the home (”bear”). If we lose one of the 4 conservatives justices, forget it. Those of us in corrupt “may issue” states will be out of luck for a very long time.
