I agree with you. I disagree with Ann’s support of Romney but let’s not hold her or any of our conservative pundits/commentators to higher standards than we do our candidates for office.

If conservative Republicans can forgive Gingrich for supporting Dede Scazzafava, I’m sure we can forgive Ann for supporting Romney.

If we can overlook Gingrich calling Ryan’s plan to cut spending “right wing social engineering” then we can overlook the stupid things that Ann says once in a while.

The Didi thing happened because the guy who'd been the Republican Congressman from that district FOREVER didn't leave behind a very active Republican campaign machine.

As I understand it Newt's recommendation was just a perfunctory "let's support the new Republican nominee for xyz"~ she was chosen by the District Committee, not in a primary. The Conservative candidate didn't run as a Republican did he?

Anyway, the Democrat won, he served one term and then he was replaced by this young Republican who thought he could peddle his body to aspiring young starlets or something ~ and advertised it on Craig's list.

No doubt Tony Wiener would have been well advised to notice what happened there.

Let us hope that district gets some party leadership who know what to do in competitive situations.

I think the screwballs in that district started all the screw-ups.
