It's a long way, though, from Israel to Iran and there are apparently multiple targets that will need attention. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't a much larger scale operation — and one that will demand great boldness.
The recent successful assassinations show that the Israelis already have a good ground game going, so I have much hope that this will go well, much to the Kenyan Clown's chagrin.

Why are thousands of US troops still there after “war games” have supposedly been called off?
Essentially, the IDF would have Obama’s Hamas allies behind their own lines.
Should thing go badly for the Jihad invaders, US troops would probably be ordered to turn on the IDF, or at least sabotage operations.
I believe that they have been sent there to act as “minders” to watch the IDF and make sure they don’t slip their leash and get out of compliance with Obama’s edicts, and to “punish” Israel if they try to.
If the IDF is focused on a frontal Intifada, an attack from behind by Obama’s hand picked Jihadist forces could tip the balance toward the Barbarians.
I would be interested in how many of those US Troops are in fact Muslims - like Maj. Nidal Hassan?
I suspect that they may have been carefully selected, and are probably not all that fond of Israel or Jews.
As soon as the IDF tries to defend themselves against these 5th column Jihadists in American uniforms, then Obama would feel justified in declaring war on Israel (not that he bothers to run his wars past the Congress to get a formal declaration of war to begin with) and summarily attacking Israel with the full force of the US military - including air and missile strikes.
I would hope that our military would mutiny and refuse such an insane, suicidal order as to attack Israel, but I would not bet on it.
What a lot of people don’t appreciate is that by doing so, America would be declaring war on the Almighty Living G*d, and the consequences would likely be terrible for all of us.
For one thing, the Continental US would likely qualify for and become a partial recipient of the “Sampson Option” - saving the Muslims the need to come up with a nuclear weapon to whack us with.
How convenient for the Jihad!
Turn the “Little Satan” and the “Great Satan” against each other, and perchance destroy or at least disable both in the process. All the Jihad would have to do then is a mopping up operation.
Millions of surviving Christian and Jewish heads would roll, and violla; global Caliphate.

The above scenario is, I suspect, exactly what Emperor Barry and his communist / islamic / eugenicist Czars want.
If an Israeli attack is launched, it is possible it will not originate in Israel. Time between launch and impact could be way less than what is expected.
