Well, everyone was upset at Huckabee for spoiling the race in 2008, handing the nomination to McCain instead of dropping out to support the true conservative in the race: Mitt Romney.

Now in 2012, we have a real chance in Newt—as evinced by his huge winning margin across the demographic board in SC tonight.

Nobody in 2008 thought Mitt was a conservative. We just thought he was better than McCain and the Huckster. Huck was really bad on some issues, and we knew McCain would stab us in the back on everything, while Mitt would stab us in the back on 70 percent. It was a crappy year, and that is part of the reason why we are so determined not to let the RINOs pick our candidate this time.
