I agree. I view that in terms of a single man, not a nation.

I think that Rick Santorum is the conservative who can sweep Obama out of office and that if he gets more funding and attacks Obama more aggressively, he can be a greater factor in the race than he is now.

Florida’s Hispanic population is largely Catholic, which could help Santorum.

Santorum; Big government spender:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt6XCZz2X1Y&feature=player_embedded

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2087812/Rick-Santorums

.

Santorum needs to put his ego aside, place his country before himself, drop out and go back to wherever he came from.

Rick Perry is twice the Conservative Santorum is!
He deserves the VP slot.

Since 2000 he has led the second largest state in the union on to be the most successful economically.

Perry stated that in his administration he would start all countries getting U.S. foreign aid at ZERO, until they proved to be our allies.

He was also the first to bring the war on religion to the forefront.

This is to stop Newt Gingrich. One evangelical leader I spoke to said, “If Newt wins, we won’t be able to make family values an issue in the general.”
______________

By that I take it the little weasel will endorse RINO Romney.

You are probably correct and it will backfire on them.
The support Rick has will not go to Romney. The GOP underestimate a thinking people. (Imagine that!)
Yes some of his supporters will flow on downstream to Romney, those without an oar.
Those with conviction to salvage this country smell the coffee and will swim upstream if necessary.
My biggest concern is with the Florida voters.
Every thinking person in American understands that the closer one gets to an ocean the more susceptible that one is to the disease of liberalism.
Florida is no different. There are liberal cesspools in the Sunshine State as well. Romney fills that need (other than the Pauliban) for those who have had their bait of Obammie.
Florida is also a "closed" primary, no crossover voting.
If Rick elects to remain in contention through Florida I'd say he's GOP fodder. I place my hope in two baskets, Rick endorses Newt or the Florida voters see through his "campaign".
Either way I do see the Speaker carrying those "half delegates" from Florida, effectively throwing the GOP into a panicked frenzy.
Rest assured the GOP has plan "B"; probably along the lines of, "Well, Newt is expected to do well in the South".
To borrow words from LTC Ret. Rep. Allen West (FL-22); 35% of America is stuck on stupid. It's the other 65% we need to work on".

Speaking of West, he and Rubio could play large in this picture, obviously from a local as well as national perspective.
They both know all too well what is at stake. For the life of me I cannot see the two of them "fiddle while Rome burns".
If you have political activist in Florida contact them, light a fire down there.

And it will not hurt matters to drop the moneybomb at Newt.org with a few dollars.

Keep the Faith; Save the Republic!

“If Newt wins, we won’t be able to make family values an issue in the general.”

Fundamentally flawed thinking at its finest.
Obviously Newton hates family and family values. /sarc
So let us not elect him, ushering in in minimum of four more years of Social Engineering for our children while destroying free markets and jobs.
There's a plan that should restore the American Family and its values.
At some point rationale will displace the Holy Than Thou.

What is a nation, but a group of men. And if the men that make up a nation give up their souls what kind of nation do you end up with?

Pat08 - No, I addressed the OP, gogog… I referenced your post in doing so, simply to reinforce your view.

"By that I take it the little weasel will endorse RINO Romney."

Sorry for not making my point clearer.

Correct. Newt won because he smacked down the enemedia at the right time. I give him credit for recognizing them as the real enemy in need of a trip to the woodshed and ObaMao as a creature of their creation.

But Rick Santorum is right, we need to make this election about ObaMao, not the GOP candidate. Which candidate has the least dirt out there about them of any? Easy choice. I'm sticking with Rick Santorum.

Great analogy. Given Newt’s past history, the question is not if but when he is going to take a tumble.

I support Santorum and want the chance to vote for him in the primary. And I am not too damn happy that the Romney wing or the Newt wing wants to deny me that opportunity after 1.5% of the votes are in.
