Rick needs to take one for the team before Florida...otherwise he is just in it for for himself and not the "principles". So, let's see. Santorum won IA (finishing way ahead of Newt there), and then also beat Newt in NH. Right after NH, were you asking Newt to "drop out" and "take one for the team"? And since he didn't, I guess we can just assume he's in it for himself and not the "principles"? ;)

Newt has the momentum and he can win Florida..Santorum can not win it.
Santorum's better days were in Iowa and it was stolen from him. Santorum's principles are impeccable..but he won't win now. If Santorum causes Newt to lose Florida..he is in it for himself and not the principle...yes, that is my assessment. Santorum may have a better shot in 2016.

Otherwise, carry on. ;^)
