Matthew and Zacheus were tax collectors who not only collaborated with the oppressors, but were skimming off money for themselves. They were Corrupt government bureaucrats, yet when they were converted, their sins were forgiven.
The Gospel tells of a thief and murderer who repented AS he was DYING. His sins were forgiven and forgotten.
By his own admission, Paul was a self righteous, sanctimonious Pharisee who contributed to the persecution and death of Christians before his conversion. He ended up writing more than half of the New Testament in the form of letters to Churches he had founded all across the Middle east and Europe.
People who continue to stew over Newt’s sins after GOD has Forgiven and Forgotten them are casting aspersions on the efficacy of the Blood Of Jesus to Cleanse us from ALL Sin.
