I had no idea that Philadelphia was so dangerous. I guess I won’t be going there any time soon.
You had an excuse. You'd be amazed how many people in Philly don't realize it or are in denial. Kinda like a wildebeest herd that doesn't realize that the lion can't kill every one of them on a particular day. Thank goodness for the Pennsylvania constitution and the hard work of PA gun advocates. Amazingly, the last time I looked, there were only 29000 licenses to carry firearms issued in Philly.
Knowing that, I still visited the city recently and walked around downtown unarmed--and even went to the Liberty Bell and to Independence Hall. But it was the middle of the afternoon.
On any given day, the vast majority of people in Philadelphia are not beaten to death.
