JSH agree 100%
I’ve worked construction for almost 40 years and I own and have used many nail guns, not one can be fired without the safety depressed and the trigger pulled. I smell fish too
I don’t see one comment that really NAILS this. This is part of a larger conspiracy to have ALL kinds of guns controlled. I’ve heard rumors that large nail guns are being seen going out the back doors of Home Depot into SUVs full of cartel members. Wake up freepers before it’s too late. Next they’ll come for your glue gun.
You got it, blastdad, I’m a licensed GC for over 35 years and while I’ve seen a number of nail gun accidents, they were all with the safety and trigger depressed. For that matter, most nail guns today are single fire only, in other words you need to release and depress the trigger after each shot. I prefer, though, my old Bostitch nail guns without this feature for rapid “auto fire” nailing of roof sheathing or whatever. Just hold the trigger down and bump as many times as you wish !
I have personal experience with a nail gun accident. I nailed my left hand to a hip roof truss when attaching a jack. That was a 12 penny ring shank nail and I was at the top of a ten foot step ladder at the time.
Ouch!
Well in my years on Earth I have learned that common sense isn’t common enough.
Amen to that!
