Our son is a CH-53 pilot in Afg. You can only imagine our thoughts at the news of the loss of our Marines yesterday.
We still have our son and my heart hurts for those families that have suffered loss of their warriors. He did fly with all of these warriors earlier in the day and watched them take off on their final flight....
Please pray for strength for him and the rest of our men and women in the military including the families of those lost......
Thank you FReepers for your support of our military.....

Prayers for your son and his mates. I can’t even imagine the worry you have.
There is a thread where we pray daily for our Heroes and Nation. Go there, you will feel the love and unity of purpose and it will bring you comfort.

Our youngest son is in his 6th year in the US Marines. He re-upped on the condition he got to “see” Afghanistan. He is Marine Infantry in Musa Qala, Helmand Province. Who knows; maybe your son has flown our son on missions! He arrived there in September and will be coming home early April. He is 2nd Battalion 4th Regiment. Our middle son is a USAF officer and was assigned to the Navy SP. Ops near Tarin Kowt Afghanistan for 7 months last year also. It was nerve wracking having two of our three sons 150 miles apart - but that 150 miles in Afghanistan was some of the most dangerous territory in the country.
Prayers up, for your son, for you and for all who serve.
May God bless them, everyone.
