I used to think that about Newt, as a fearless warrior, until I saw him and Bill Clinton in a mutual admiration fest when everyone was expecting a real exchange of values and ideas.
It was like watching a dog roll over on his back in submission. He was no nightmare to Clinton.

(Now we know Callista was his “other woman” at that time and no doubt Washington and the Clintons knew all about it.)

So he may be silenced, controlled and intimidated and not have the spine when he needs it. He’s been a huge disappointment. Would I vote for him? Yes, but holding my nose, but not in a primary.

But he got a lot done by pestering the impeached, welfare reform, balance budget, etc!!!
