Gingrich took $6 million from Fannie Mae (or was it Freddie Mac?). He is a Washington insider.

Gingrich personally was paid $300,000 for a historical consultant for FM, 2006-2008.
The Gingrich Group received $1.5 million from 1999-2007 as consultants.
If you are going to excoriated him at least get the figures correct.

Who is he running against that would not do the same thing? Romney? Santorum? He was paid because that is what he was worth. The question is what will he do when he is president? I think Newt might already be used to the media treating him like a pariah, and he will answer back. I think the DC insiders are againt him because he is a real threat.
