Newt is indeed a conservative in political thought, and we will fight to keep him on the right path, if he waivers

Right. No one said we expect Newt to do this alone. It will take everyone rallying, everyone continuing to work at the grass roots level, through the Tea Party or other outlets, to push for conservative government. People need to stay involved and on top of it — and on top of Newt. And let him know it.
It’s still up to the People to keep their republic, is it not?
