Anti-Semitism may not yet be a litmus test for social acceptability in the US, but it has certainly become acceptable. Proof of this dismal state of affairs came this week with the publication of a supportive profile of University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer in The Atlantic monthly written by the magazines in-house foreign policy guru Robert Kaplan. Mearsheimer is the author, together with Harvards Kennedy School of Governments Prof. Stephen Walt, of the infamous 2007 book The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy. Since the books publication, Mearsheimer has become one of the most high-profile anti-Semites in America.

Hardcore antisemitism might be a litmus test for stupidity in America. We are not talking about jokes about stereotypes which even Jewish people can find funny but real hatred of Jews. A truly intelligent student of American history will understand how absurd it is given the history of America and their contributions to our society. While I understand the mental process that creates Jewish conspiracy theories and maybe sympathy for the Palestinians it is a mental error not to reason your way past such positions. There is and never has been an international Jewish conspiracy they may be successful business men sometimes but that is it, and the Palestinians are not going to coexist. In addition to all of that, I believe reading the Bible should give any prudent Christian pause in attacking the Jewish people.
