If he takes the fifth he should be fired IMMEDIATELY!. that’s what happens to NYCPD officers who take the fifth during Trial Room or Court proceedings. I’m sure it’s also the case with many other law enforcement agencies. If not, it should be.

by taking the 5th, he is more or less admitting that himself and/or others did in fact commit real crimes and could help the prosecution if he were to speak...
