I was visiting Miami that day from Boston and I was pissed!
I was at a meeting in Tampa during this snow and talk about shock!!
My ex-husband is from Ft. Lauderdale. He was 16 when it snowed down there. At the time, he was big into the drug scene and says when he saw snow falling he thought he was trippin’, lol. (PS: His story is a long one with a happy ending.)
I remember holding my 2 month old son up to the window to show him the snow!
Nobody ever believes in snow on palm trees unless you show them pictures!
That was right after I got out of the Navy. I have a picture of my ‘75 Pinto with a layer of snow on it in Tampa.
