Running for president is a gruelling process as we've seen, which is appropriate for someone seeking the presidency. Pickong someone who didn't go through that to run against Obama would be like picking a college quarterback to play in the Superbowl.
I agree. It would be tantamount to suicide to pick an unvetted candidate. The MSM would have a field day making up all new lies and slander in the final months leading up to the election. Our candidate isn't likely to have the cash to effectively fight that and create his own image for the electorate.
No, as bad as the current crop is, we have a much better chance at ABO with the vetted group than the unvetted.
Among the current nominees, I like Newt. He may have a checkered past (not as checkered as Bill Clinton who is beloved for nearly all of the same reasons Newt is hated) but he is a fighter and generally right on the issues.
