I’m sorry to hear that. If Newt is the nominee he will personally fire up the democrat machine, just by mention of his name. Santorum will not have this same effect, but can beat Obama both electorally and intellectually. There are so many reasons not to vote for Newt, but people will not force themselves to look at this with an open mind.

Santorum is right about SOPA. Go back and read the transcript. He explained the right to work, and he has explained ear marks. Amazing that people “forgive” Newt for his many varied crazy things, but “Death to Santorum!” Really????

In South Carolina, there is a choice between a clearly moral man -Santorum- and a man who has consistently behaved immorally -Newt- until recently, coincidentally when he also wanted to run for the Presidency.

I wonder what Solomon would say about this choice facing conservatives? After all, don’t we pride ourselves on having more wisdom than our liberal opponents?

Also amusing to me was the recent Sun Tzu interest at FR. What would Sun Tzu do in this situation? It is a sure bet Newt would not be his choice.

Mark Levin said that Rick Santorum was one of the most conservative senators in the past 50 years, and very principled.

But yet when Santorum makes a mistake, some people can never forgive, but another politician can make an equally bad mistake, but it just goes over their heads.

And even when Santorum doesn’t do anything wrong, if he is accused of getting something wrong, SOME people have this knee-jerk reaction, and don’t even care about Santorum’s side of the story.

Go figure.
