The problem is, they are taking down the paying customers as well. That is the fault of the company for repeatedly ignoring the complaints submitted under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Believe me they knew what was going on and repeatedly chose to ignore the complaints from copyright holders and authorities.

The company is at fault for what you say, But they are 0% responsible for the idiotic actions of the Federal Justice Department. They can only be held account for what they do, not someone else.
If Wells Fargo Bank laundered money for some drug dealers and the Justice Department seized all the assets of everyone who had an account with the bank, I guess the Feds could argue that was Wells Fargo's fault that the government seized all the assets of honest customers, but it would not be correct.
Each person is responsible for their own actions, and cannot be held account for the actions of others that claim that whatever they do response to those actions is justified. If that were true, they could have dropped a bomb on Auckland, NZ and claimed it was the company's fault for stealing content.
