First, there is nothing grammatically correct in suggesting Christ is talking about himself in this sentence: “And I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Iwill give your the keys to the kingdom of heaven.” This rock talk ignores the obvious continued reference to Peter in the next sentence: “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Are you asserting Christ is referring to himself in this sentence as well?
