Our daughter got on an AA plane in Austin with her TAZER inside her purse. The TSA missed it and she flew to California before discovering it in its holster.
The Knife Smuggler!
I just flew without any checked baggage to Munich and back and forgot that I had my Swiss Army Knife in my pocket. I got through fine, then discovered that it was in my pocket while in Germany.
Now, I have already given up at least a dozen very nice Victorinox knives over the years and was not about to lose this one... But now I had to fly back that same day and had no checked bags to put it inside of...
So I decided to try to sneak it innocently back on the plane and did it. Too easy.
How did I get it past the normally very thorough Germans?
Simple.
I had a half drank bottle water in my computer bag which went through the x-ray first... Followed by a small mountain of keys, cellphone, wristwatch, etc. in the tray which also held my computer.
They immediately spotted the water... AHAAAA!!! As they seized my bottle of water... I feigned surprise and asked if I could drink it... They let me drink the water while they watched carefully... All the while the conveyor belt moved past them with my metal stuff being now completely ignored, and as I threw the empty bottle in the trash bin, carefully scooped up my keys, KNIFE, cellphone, belt buckle and moved on.
I flew home with my favorite Victorinox Swiss Army Knife in my pocket.
