These are tweets related to a poll to be released, I’m guessing, tomorrow or Friday. Might seem too fragmentary to be news, however this is the first South Carolina poll I’m aware of conducted wholly after the Monday night debate, and it looks to be great news for Gingrich. And the news from these tweets is reinforced by three other polls:

1) The national Rasmussen poll conducted 1/17, finding Romney & Newt in a statistical dead heat of 30 v. 27 (an 11 point gain for Newt from 2 weeks ago):
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2012/election_2012_presidential_election/election_2012_republican_presidential_primary

2) The Gallup tracking poll for 1/13 - 1/17, which still has Romney way ahead of Gingrich at 33 v. 16, however, just one of the 5 polling days was post-debate, and if you look at the link to the graph below, you see Gingrich has been trending up for 3 days, while Romney seems to have peaked & is trending down:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/election.aspx

3) Finally, the mostly pre-debate CNN/Time South Carolina poll taken 1/13 - 1/17 has Romney ahead of Gingrich 33 v. 23. This 10 point gap is almost half the 19 point gap between Romney and Gingrich in the CNN/Time South Carolina poll taken 1/4 - 1/5 (37 v. 18.)

So I think there was a fairly strong trend making Gingrich the winner or a strong second in South Carolina Saturday. Whether the Marianne Gingrich interview will kill or dampen that trend, I don’t pretend to know (but I doubt it).

PPP polls should be largely ignored. PPP is a RAT polling company.

About 60% of SC voters saying they watched the debate Monday night...really could be the reason for Newt’s momentum

“Mitt’s not really losing support in SC but Santorum’s really collapsed and his people clearly are going to Newt”

I think we can thank Sarah Palin for that along with Newts great debate performance. The msm and the RINOs have stooped so low that they have to drag out Marianne Gingrich and rehash the old interviews as if they are something new. I hope it backfires on them big time. It is so obvious as to what they are doing if anyone is paying any attention at all. GO NEWT GO!

I know, but that might make me discount PPP when it does a Democrat v. Republican poll. Not so sure how that works when PPP does a Republican primary poll.

I think its all about his rousing debate performance. PPP asked about Palin’s endorsement and it’s not a positive factore in SC.

I am sure that they will make a huge deal of the interview. It is the new blood sport of the MSM "Whack the Republican Leader"

Now we can only guess what happens after ABC News turns a national TV network over to a vindictive ex-wife...

What happened to Ron Paul? Didn’t he make the radar? [Was it because of his stellar debate performance the other night? Yawn.]

Yeah! The MSM loved Fred until he got into the race. Then he was too old, too unenthusiastic, too everything. He would have made a great Pres. IMO.

Remember McLame saying Obama woud make a good Pres. when he was scloding his rallies for knocking the Bam? Proof McClain never had it in him to be Pres. along with Steve Schmidt's very bad advice

I regret Santorum is not surging because he woud make a good Pres. He lost PA in his last senatorial race precisely because he did what Nicky Haley is doing now. He backed Arlen Specter, the RINO Dem instead of the conservative Toomey, just to go along with the GOP leadership. The voters turned him out because they had Casey, son of a very pro-life gov. who was sounding more conservative than Dem. Wonder if her endorsement of Mitt will backfire on Haley.

He’ll get Cain’ed. GOP voters are so fickle that I wouldn’t be surprised if they jumped back to Perry.
