I agree with you.
Santorum won’t drop out, as his purpose is to act as spoiler for Romney by drawing away the evangelical vote.
He is a 100% RNC creature.

Santorum would likely be happy to run as Romney's VP, but I wonder whether Romney would want a losing senator from PA as a running mate? I mean, there's no guarantee or recent evidence to think that Santorum could carry PA, save for Toomey's election, but Santorum didn't endorse Toomey the first time he ran.
