That's a nice 686-Plus DCM at the bottom. I have a pre-lock Performance Center version with a Bausch & Lomb 4x Elite 3000 mounted on a Leupold mount.

I've polished it with about six hours of work using Mother's polish, and now it shines brighter than a brand new dime. Too nice to shoot anymore.

You oughtta take a look at the Nill-Grips furniture for S&W J-frames.

That one’s a 617, but I have the identical 686 as well. It’s my favorite winter gun because I don’t have to chase the brass in the snow.
