It’s kind of like a Ford vs. Chevy debate. I use to hate Glocks, then I began to realistically see them for their undeniable reliability. They are ugly but they work.

Same here, then bought a S&W Sigma .40: lousy trigger but reliable with anything.
Then bought a Ruger SR 9. It’s thin, has a safety and a nice trigger. Then a Ruger LC9.
No Glocks in my cabinet yet.
