It's been decades ago, but the only sex ed info we got at school was a film with cartoon characters talking about how our bodies were going to be changing. It was strictly limited to biological facts, and our parents had to sign off on our participation.
It's strange, but I never had any problems in my life caused by a lack of sex ed.

I grew up on a farm, by the time i was 8 i knew a whole lot more about things than a lot of the city slicker 18 year olds.
Of course growing up with four older brothers could have affected this too.
Funny how the libs call the flyover country people “hayseeds” but those “hayseeds” know a lot more about sex edumacation than most urbanites.
Which is why it should be the responsibility of the parents to teach it!
