I am entering this reply from a Disney Vacation Club Resort.
A note was left in our room last night, describing changes to theme park operating schedule, only for Thursday, January 19th. The time changes listed indirectly suggest that you should visit another park on Thursday. Extended hours and fireworks will be offered at locations other than the Magic Kingdom.
The note does not mention Obama’s visit at all.
I was at the Magic Kingdom today. There are a lot of families running around with pre-school age children. I think you can imagine the headache when these families attempt to visit the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. The security line alone should be a nightmare.
I did file multiple complaints with the hotel staff. I asked them why the Democratic Party had priority over paying guests with small children. I also asked why the memo left in my room was a blatant lie that didn’t describe what was really going on to their paying guests. I have yet to get an answer back.
If you’re here visiting the park, be sure to file a complaint. When you file the complaint, be sure to make someone take the complaint. Don’t let the employees brush you off to Disney’s useless “guest services” department. If you know of someone who’s visiting the parks, be sure to have them file a complaint.
