"Heres the quotation thats getting the most attention:
Rick Santorum is a good man. He is a good father. He is a good Catholic. But he hasnt always been a good conservative. And I make exceptions with his vote for Sonya Sotomayor as a for instance. That is a really liberal jurist that he helped put on track to become a Supreme Court jurist back when he voted to allow her to be on the Appellate Court. I mean, she is pro-abortion, would be my estimation of that. I mean, Obama is a very liberal president and she is reflective of his philosophy. So, I mean, there were 29 conservatives that voted against her. People like Strom Thurmond and Rick voted for her. So the idea that, you know, he is a pure social conservative, this flies right in the face of it
On the fiscal side, Rick, he has a horrid record when it comes to earmarks and defending spending. The idea that you can vote for all those earmarks and call yourself a fiscal conservative is just ludicrous on its face. That is why we have a tea party today.
So like I said, good man, good father and husband, good Catholic, but not always a good conservative.

It is definitely true that Strom Thurmond moved left the longer he was in the Senate; not true though of Jesse Helms, who never wavered in his constitutionalism. Most of the “conservatives” are further left than their constitutents realize, such as Lugar and Hatch, even Thad Cochran has not always held the line.
Well, lack of results sure as heck hasn't stopped the Perry campaign. Nor the non-stop efforts to blame everyone but Perry and his campaign for their failures to date.
But at some point, if Perry fails to get traction in SC, the excuse machine has to stop and the realization has to sink in that all he is doing is helping Mitt by splitting the conservative vote.
Yeah. Newt+Rick+Rick > Romney in all cases. Which is what Mitt has been counting on all along.
Head, meet wall.
Wall, meet head.
Bang, Bang, Bang!
You’re always the sweet poster dirtboy.
Thank you for all you have done to elevate discussion on FR.
Amazing. You can look in the mirror and not laugh when you say something so off the wall wrong?
It's a lot easier to accept the truth than to bang your head against the wall denying it.
There is still utterly no sign of a Perry surge. When do the excuses end?
This coming from a known campaign operative who uses FR for free to bash the other candidates for the Perry campaign.
Stuff it, slug.
I try to be nice and you only seem to blow up when I do.
I don’t plan on going away and your nasty attitude toward me at this point has become a joke to everyone.
Have you stopped her yet?????????
LOL
Perry will stop when he decides to.
CW will stop when she decides to.
And in real life, I’d put money on the line if I bet, which I don’t, that people who have the free will to do as they decide, don’t stop doing it whenever you show up and start ordering them around.
Not even non-stop insults would cause them to.
Oh, I am well aware that she will do the Perry campaign's dirty work on FR until the Perry campaign throws in the towel.
However, I can point out how counterproductive to the effort to stop Romney that continued campaigning is, lest anyone fall for the horse manure she and the campaign is shovelling.
How has defending Rick Perry’s record and pointing out how the other candidates don’t compare with his conservative record make me doing dirty work?
You can only stomp your feet and scream at me online because it is the truth you can’t handle.
Oh, I know you are not going away, you are doing the Perry campaign's bidding on FR.
I am simply pointing out that the Perry campaign has run out of excuses and staying in at this point is only doing Mitt's bidding, whether by design or by accident (I believe the latter).
Your reputation in this campaign was forged long ago, you just don't like me calling a spade a spade, or in your case, a slug a slug.
Oh, horsecrap. She has started plenty of threads bashing other candidates and made posts on threads bashing the other conservatives.
I think you are talking out of your butt.
Take your head out of yours.
Bashing the other conservatives IS the campaign's dirty work, CW. You just don't like it being described truthfully.
You are so off base. I have no connection to any campaign or political party or group. None. But then you can't imagine someone who would spend so much time and effort trying to promote a candidate unless they were paid or part of a campaign. Sorry but I do it because I truly believe he will seal the border, protect our country, return rights to the states, select strict Constitutional conservatives to the SC, stump with candidates nation-wide to elect conservatives who want to shrink government and not stop until he drops.
Off to the real world for now...
Where I WON’T be going up to people and issuing orders and flinging insults in expectation of stopping them from that which they have freely and lawfully chosen to do.
But I suppose I MIGHT see you out there, trying to do that, to no avail we can all be certain.
And on the internet, how can that be proven? It can't.
So I will look at the fact that you show up on FR every day armed with the latest Perry talking points, both for Perry and against the other candidates. And leave it for others to decide.
But then you can't imagine someone who would spend so much time and effort trying to promote a candidate unless they were paid or part of a campaign.
Actually, I can. I put a tremendous amount of effort into a congressional campaign last election for free. However, I used FR to bash the Democrat in that campaign, not the other GOP candidates in the primary, in case one of the others was the eventual winner.
Like I have said in the past, I don't have a problem with your use of FR to promote Perry. I have disagreed on specific points, but that is the nature of debate. I strongly disagree with your use of FR to bash the other conservative candidates, and don't pretend you haven't done just that, I have seen the threads and responses.
However, at some point, Perry's campaign becomes counterproductive to the conservative moment. I waited to see if Perry showed a surge in SC. He hasn't. If he can't get above 12-15 percent or so in the voting, he should drop out. IMO he is trying to come in ahead of Santorum so Santorum would have to drop out instead of him. But if Newt is way ahead of both of them, both should drop out.
Sorry but I do it because I truly believe he will seal the border, protect our country, return rights to the states, select strict Constitutional conservatives to the SC, stump with candidates nation-wide to elect conservatives who want to shrink government and not stop until he drops.
And Mitt thanks you and Perry for your preserverance. Mitt's only shot is a divided conservative vote. Even if Perry only polls six percent, that can be the difference in a winner-takes-all primary.
If Perry can't get traction in SC, a state that should be friendly towards his candidacy, the excuses end.
