SSgt. Wuterich Trial Ping.
The prosecutors and every staff officer involved in this travesty should be tried for treason and sent the Levenworth for life. At the least.
“During his first combat action, Wuterich led three combat veterans of the 2nd Battle of Falluja in a combat assault upon house 1 and 2 to eliminate the threat. The Haditha massacre of innocent civilians was designed by lesser men; justice needs brought to them for that war crime.”
What the he// is this statement?
It is disgusting that a soldier, in a war zone, can be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
BUMP a truly outstanding post.

William Munny: "Who's the fellow owns this shit hole?"
(Nobody says a word.)
William Munny: (Pointing his shotgun at one of Little Bill's gunmen.) "You. Fat man. Speak up."
(A few seconds pass and it looks like Munny is about to shoot the fat man. But then the saloon owner, wearing a white bartender smock, turns to face Munny and meekly admits to being the owner.)
Saloon owner: "Uh... I own this establishment. Bought it from Grealy for $1,000."
William Munny: (Looking at several gunmen standing in the back, behind the saloon owner.) "You better clear out of there."
One of the gunmen: "Yes, sir." (The gunmen scramble out of the way. Munny aims his shotgun squarely at the saloon owner.)
Little Bill: (Taking a step forward.) "Just hold it right there.... Hold it!"
BLAM! (Munny kills the saloon owner, blasting him in the chest and knocking him backward onto the floor. Women watching from up on the staircase let out screams.)
Little Bill "Well, sir, you are a cowardly sonuvabitch. You just shot an unarmed man!"
William Munny: "Well, he should've armed himself... if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend."

A 12-year old survivor of the alleged massacre of "innocent civilians" by U.S. Marines patrolling Haditha has admitted she had prior knowledge of the plot to detonate an IED as their convoy was passing by her house on the morning of Nov. 19, 2005.
In a CNN interview, Safa Younis - who says eight members of her family were killed by U.S. troops - recalled that she was getting ready for school as the Marine Humvee approached.
"I was planning to go to school. I was about to go out of bed. I knew the bomb would explode so I covered my ears," the youngster said, according to a CNN translator. "The bomb exploded," she explained. "The bomb struck an armored vehicle. I don't know if it was a Humvee or an armored vehicle. When the bomb exploded, they came straight to my house."

The "innocent" occupants of those houses knew about the impending deadly ambush and watched it happen. They chose to collaborate with terrorist insurgents, and those insurgents used them as human shields.
It is true, of course, that war is hell and it is tragic when civilian non-combatants are killed. But if the "innocent civilians" in those houses were going to give shelter to insurgent terrorists and allow themselves to be used as human shields as those terrorists ambushed US Marines, then maybe they should have armed themselves.
